ADHD Expert to Give Free Lecture

Tift Regional Medical Center’s Community Spirit program will be holding a free community lecture titled, “Discussing the Science Behind the Cause and Treatment of ADHD” on Thursday, Feb. 3 at 6:00 p.m. Sharon Petzel, PA-C, a certified physician assistant with Affinity Pediatrics, will discuss ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), one of the most common neurobehavioral disorders of childhood. ADHD is usually first diagnosed in childhood and often lasts into adulthood. Children with ADHD have trouble paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors, and in some cases, are overly active. Sharon has more than ten years experience in treating ADHD patients and serves as an ADHD coach.
